Weaving a space of kākoʻo

Where Innovation and collaboration meet

We are inspired by the moʻolelo of Hiʻiakaʻs victory and aim to help it live on in Hālau ʻĪnana. This is the place to cultivate mana, wisdom, and confidence in our own capabilities, as well as the place to build pilina for the lāhui.

The focus areas of Leadership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Career Pathways, Lawena, ʻIke Kuʻuna, and ʻIke Honua

Hālau ʻĪnana is currently home to the Purple Maiʻa Foundation. Purple Maiʻa is a native tech non-profit with the mission to educate and empower the next generation of culturally grounded, community serving technology makers and problem solvers.

Nā Hoa Hana Program

Nā hoa hana, or “Friends in the work” is a program that cultivates the symbiotic relationship that every environment needs in order to prosper. This program is for those who need a reoccurring meeting place to hoʻōlapa or to launch their goals into reality. If accepted, you will be able to reserve the Hālau for a discounted or waived rate in exchange for collaborating with/providing a hoʻokupu (gift: can be a skill, trade, or service) to Purple Maiʻa. We understand that everyone has unique gifts and needs, please apply to get into contact to see if this is right for you.
